Amanda entered her journey into Social Work after being a former foster parent. Amanda received her Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington with a concentration in Macro Social Work. She is passionate about LGBTQIA+ youth within the foster care system, those youth experiencing homelessness, and undoing systemic built oppression. She has experience with youth at risk for homelessness and has experience with HIV/AIDS
populations in the metroplex. She is excited to use her experience to support and empower children, families, and communities. Amanda is passionate about fighting for what is right and creating impactful changes.
Amanda lives in Dallas with her cats. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering in her local community, being out in nature, and going to different performing arts shows in DFW.
