Likes: Red Sox, chips and queso, elephants, turtles, a good book on the beach, a well-organized agenda/planner, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. Dislikes: meanness, COVID, mushrooms, cold weather Alexis went to school in Boston, obtaining her Bachelor's and first Masters degrees in Human Development/Psychology and Child Life and Family Center Care. After working as a Child Life specialist and a fellowship at a camp for children and adults with special needs, she decided to get her second Master's in Social Work from Simmons University. Shortly after graduating, she relocated with her fiance to the Dallas area. Her current job consists of working in youth mental health, specializing in intensive outpatient care. Along the way, Alexis has volunteered with a variety of organizations including Dance Marathon, Ronald McDonald House, Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, and Junior League as well as a few others. These organizations are all primarily geared towards children with special needs or mental health needs. Alexis loves living in Texas with her husband and dog, Barrett. |
